Crinkle Care

Handmade by our plissé house in Portugal, textural pleats lend an artisanal touch to semi-sheer shirts, skirts and trousers from our Resort 2024 collection.
The luxe fabric woven from forest-friendly TENCEL™ and nylon is sustainably sourced from the Merit mill in South Korea. All these styles are crafted in our Portuguese atelier before being crinkled by hand in Porto by local craftspeople. To achieve this delicate effect, the pieces are placed one by one in a special mould that is heated at a medium heat to create the crinkle.
Care Instructions
Extra care is needed to preserve the crinkles on these garments. Wash by hand in cold water or machine wash at maximum 30 degrees. Take out as much excess water as possible and twist one end of your item clockwise and the other end anti clockwise, forming a long sausage shape.
Tie the twisted piece into a pretzel-like knot – in a similar fashion to how it arrived. Twist and tuck any of the edges. Leave in the twisted knot form until mostly dry, then shake out and dry flat. Hang or keep stored in a loose knot once fully dry.
Please avoid tumble drying or ironing the garments. After a bit of practice, they become easy-to-care-for pieces with a unique finish. Remember to spot clean marks and stains, and not wash an item every time you wear it. For more tips on garment care, click here.
