New fabrics to keep you cool this summer

Summer’s calling and our SS22 collection is an ode to new adventures, spontaneous getaways and having fun back out there in the world. With a new collection also come new natural and innovative fabrics that will help you cope with the first hot temperatures.

You might already know our soft GOTS-certified organic cotton, versatile TENCEL™ made from renewable wood pulp and supple SeaCell™ crafted from seaweed and wood in a closed loop system. Now, we’ve worked hard to find the best suppliers in Europe, Turkey and Bangladesh to create new sustainable fabrics that are just as beautiful as they are kind to your skin, the planet and the people who make them.

EcoVero Jacquard

This fine fabric has been knitted from a crispy EcoVero viscose combined with soft organic cotton. The result is a very lightweight, textural knit with a slightly dry handle, perfect for hot summer days. Our Sierra mini dress and Ariel long sleeve top are adorned with a ripple print imitating reflections on water.

Mercerised Cotton

This 100% GOTS-certified cotton yarn has a mercerised finish, resulting in a silky and wash-resistant gloss. The process also improves the yarn’s strength and keeps colours rich and unchanged over time. Wear our lustrous Marlowe top together with the Paige trousers on balmy summer days.

Lyocell Crepe

Imported from the Matias & Araujo mill in Portugal, our new Lyocell rib crepe fabric has a light and cooling handle adapted to warmer weather. The fibres are derived from FSC-certified wood pulp in a closed loop system which recovers and reuses the solvents used, minimising the environmental impact of production. Opt for our Wren drop back dress or Ezra maxi skirt in hibiscus red for the ultimate summer look.

Viscose Ribs

This shimmery vegan yarn is supplied by an Italian mill which shares our passion for combining creativity with a strong ecological awareness. Selected for its elegant, silk-like property and rich colours, sustainable viscose is produced from pre-consumer cotton waste (‘linters’) that would otherwise be destined for landfill. It’s a delicate fabric with a mouliné effect which makes our Thea dress and Olivia singlet subtly shine like sunlight through trees.

American Fleece

Sourced in Portugal, our new compact loopback fabric has been added with linen to create a dryer hand feel. We love that it’s left undyed, giving it a natural look without chemicals and saving water in the process. Try our Leona cardigan and Milla dress that are perfect for in-between seasons or when the weather stays a little changeable

Cotton Twill

This premium twill fabric is sourced from the Italian mill Tessuti di Sondrio renowned for its innovative organic fibres. The mid-weight, GOTS-certified cotton is then responsibly dyed in our Bangladesh factory. Ideal for going to the office in the summer, our Carter shirt dress, Avery chinos and Nelly utility coat have that extra bit of stretch for ease and comfort.

Cotton Poplin

Another summer wardrobe favourite, our 100% organic cotton poplin fabric has a dense and natural touch that feels ultra light on the skin. It’s made at Altoteks in Turkey which also works with GOTS-certified cotton as per our responsible brand commitments. Celebrating nature, the fabric is embellished with a water reflections design in our Elijah triangle cami dress.

Hemp + Organic Cotton

Hemp is a robust crop growing extremely fast without the need of pesticides or fertilisers. We value it for its strong, long-lasting and breathable qualities making it ideal for any climate. It’s blended with organic cotton to create the cosy fabric in our soft Good Vibes sweatshirt and shorts.

Natural Linen + TENCEL™

Natural linen is made from flax grown in Northern Europe. It’s very low impact, as it doesn’t normally require any pesticides or fertilisers and little water to grow. Linen is naturally organic and biodegradable while having versatile and long-lasting qualities. Find it added to TENCEL in our Amber maxi dress
